Brian -

Robert Lilley suggests upgrading the WBX by making several changes... some easy, some more involved. Robert can explain best, but I did about half of what he suggested, hence the "Half-Lilley." I swapped out my ECU for an 022D (some of us already have that in our buses... I did not). Cost for a used one in good shape - $125. Swapped old chip for new upgraded chip... can't remember exact cost... $225 in a group purchase if I recall.

Also added K & S Air Filter, Quad Tip Plugs, synthetic motor oil and Redline Transmission Fluid. All those chages are nominally priced. Also changed stock rocker rollers to Pauter rocker rollers (1.4) and added Cromoly custom push rods and oversized valve covers to accomodate Pauters. Cost was around $400 or so for parts, plus installation. Also added a Sebro stainless steel muffler. Because I don't do my own work (believe me I'd make it worse), the total cost with installation was somewhere close to $2,000.

I couldn't be happier with the results... much more power... at least 15% more HP... and about 2-3 MPG increase.

Robert has other changes he suggests for the even more performance minded vanagonite... Robert are you out there?
