Subject: Dismantling 82 Westy, need non-Westy parts?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Volks,

I bought an extremely rusty 82 Westy parts mobile in early December and am now getting around to seriously dismantling it. It had no engine, poptop or front seats. I've already sold the upper front grille, and I have a prospective buyer for the transmission. I am taking the remaining Westy stuff off and will hold onto it until I decide whether to put it or the Carat style table and rear seat/bed into my 89 Syncro. I'll also use the windshield to replace the one in my 84 Vanagon.

There are lots of minor parts like window mechanisms, front door locks and handles, fuse box, the heat exchanger parts, transmission linkage, brake and clutch cylinders, headlight setup, etc. that are on it. A few I might keep for my 84 Vanagon. This van sat for a long time between its 2 previous owners, so I don't know about the condition of some of these parts.

I want to send as little as possible to the junkyard when I am finished. So if you need something, let me know. I'll sell these parts cheap, but want something since I'll have time involved in removing them. If you live near Baltimore, MD, and want to come pull a few odds and ends in the next week to 10 days, that would also be a possibility.

Ask if you are interested, please.
