Matt, Pokey's previous owner built a bunk extention that fits between the edge of the upper bunk and the point where the bar attaches to the inner roof (the bar also keeps it from sliding around). Essentially it reduces the width of the opening by half, making it REALLY unlikely that anyone could accidentally fall out. It also stores quite nicely at the very back of the pop top when closed (there is a small space there as the folding part of the upper bunk does not go all the way back). It would be pretty easy to duplicate the design it is basically just a board and a cushion.
