If you have a radio which had a face plate, you must have the removal tools for the head unit. Kenwood and others have small blades which slide in the front on both sides and release the head unit from the metal box. Once the head unit is released, disconnect the antenna and harness plug , slide the unit out and unbend the tabs for the metal box and remove.
