Subject: Wheels - Different Diameter - Front to Back

I know somebody on this list is going to think I don't have enough to keep me busy, coming up with this question, BUT,

On a standard van -- a GL or what have you...as in two wheel drive ....what will happen if it is operated with larger diameter wheels and tires on the rear while there are smaller tires and wheels on the front. Anyone have any experience playing with this. Any unfortuitous events lurking out there to bite one on the posterior if this is done. What about 14" up front, 16" in the rear? perhaps something a little more radical???

Just curious about this. I am playing a bit...but so far with nothing that might cause some kind of damage to the machine. You know....limo tint, Flames down the sides, custom high speed mud flaps, etc. I envision the larger rear wheels giving the whole thing a bit of a rake, etc.

But then again, can a Fat Albert Tobacco Tin be made into a Mod van?

Again, just want to play, but don't want to break anything...so what about the mix of the wheels and tires?

Thanks,

John Rodgers 88 GL Driver
