In light of the extensive spam discussions conducted here lately I thought I would let everyone know of something I recently came across.

Go Here:

http://www.gaznet.au.com/spam/download.htm

This guy has a text file that, once copied into "C:\Windows\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook" will "Protected Against : 5872 Known Spammers" (It sez here). It seems to be a list of known spammers written in a way that is readable by Outlook and is acted upon as a list of banned sites. Instead of making a list of banned sites yourself one by one as the spammers show up in your mail box you get a BIG list all at once that some one else compiled. In theory any email received from any of those 5872 sites will be immediately deleted. I got the download site from "Lockergnome" newsletter. If you are familiar with Lockergnome you will know that Chris Pirillo runs a pretty decent newsletter so it is pretty much assured that there is nothing in the download that will do any harm. Whether or not it works as advertised remains to be seen.
