Get under the van and have someone push in the clutch pedal, the clutch lever on the side of the bell housing that the clutch slave rod connects to should move some 10 to 15mm (about 1/2 inch). This is measured at the end of the lever where the slave attaches. If it is not check that you have bled the system properly. You do not need a bleeder for this, you can do it the old fashioned manual way, have someone operate the pedal while you are under the van with your tube and jar. Bleed until there is only clear fluid (no air bubbles) going thru the tube. It may take a while, mine did, I vigourously pumped the pedal 20 odd times with the slave bleeder open when I replaced the slave and master cylinders before I bled as per normal. (if you work out the volume of the cylinders and the line you can see why there is so much air to bleed). If all is well you have other prolems!! One reason to use pressure bleeders is if you are bleeding a system where the master cylinder may not be new.(or for speed) On an old master cylinder when the pedal is pushed down to the floor the internal seals will be moving onto parts of the cylinder wall that it never had before, and guess what, the wall on this part of the cylinder will usually be rusty with lots of crud, next thing you know the seals are ruined.
