Subject: '91 GL ECU?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

My '91 has been running rough from time to time after I have been driving both short and long distances. The following is a list symptoms. Any help would be appreciated. Right now I'm thinking it is a problem with my ECU. Note: I just spent big bucks getting the engine replaced with a rebuilt from VW Germany.

1) Engine would dog and die almost like a clogged fuel filter. 2) Restarting the engine seemed to correct the problem. 3) Seemed to happen more frequently when the engine hadn't completely cooled down before starting again. 4) The stuttering would also begin after decelerating. 5) Was able to just restart the engine and all was fine. Now the engine will not run properly and will not get to speed.

Thanks Brian Sherburne '91 GL
