In my opinion, Bill was right and you're out of line. Bill's message was polite and direct, giving good reasons why non-Vanagon content should not be posted. (The most compelling, IMHO, is that this sort of thing will be in the ever-growing archives *forever*.) He didn't use inflammatory terminology (such as 'nazi'), he simply asked Gary to refrain from completely Vanagon-unrelated postings. He said 'please'.

As an aside, even Fridays are supposed to be restricted to humor content that's nominally Vanagon-related.
