Subject: Solution for dim propane LED
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Hello,

I've always been less than happy with the dim LED that shows if the propane is lit on the Westy panel. I've also not particularly liked that it was a red LED since it is right next to the red LED for the water tank, and it is not easy to distinguish from a distance.

I solved both problems by replacing the red LED with a BLUE LED. I really like the change and I think blue is a better association to propane anyway (blue flame, blue LED.)

It is an easy task if you know how to solder. Just remove the panel (two screws) and unsolder the red led and solder in the blue one. I used a radio shack 5mm blue LED pn 276-311

I have a photo of what this looks like if anyone is interested.
