Subject: Broken Ground?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

Good Morning Volks!

I entertained the list a few weeks ago with the progress of getting the "'84 Vanagon GL out of the Woods". Dubbed "Old Hickory" (Andy for short) due to the large quantity of hickory nuts stored inside him while sitting in a chipmunk habitat the past 4 years, I had mentioned a wire with an attached, but broken spade connector, with no apparent home. Pictures were requested so it could be identified by those of you who are familiar with the engine compartment wiring. Attached are those pictures. My thoughts are that it is a broken ground, as there is nothing else close enough for it to connect to.

The wire appears to be red in color.

Any ideas?

Michael Lincicome

'84 GL "Andy"
