Subject: Splicing the O2 Sensor
Content-type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Volks, Okay, lame-o time... There's a very big difference between soldering electronics and soldering (sweating) copper water pipes. The water pipes I can do, but with the electronic stuff I'm a bumbling idiot. I'm going to be replacing most of the exhaust system next weekend, including the catalytic converter and O2 sensor. Trimming cost where I can, my intent is to use the O2 sensor that needs to be spliced to the connector pigtail. Trouble is, I don't have a clue how to splice the leads.

Is there anyone that can forward detailed instructions? Or at least give me a clue on what I'm tackling?

Thanks for the help!
