You're right. R12 is R12. Home refridgerators dont use R12. They use
something else. It still is flammable.
My mistake for not knowing the name of the refrigerant.
Don't use any non-automotive application refrigerant for your
car/van/go-cart/etc. Unless your feel comfortable with spontaneous
combustion upon impact.

Flammable? R12 is R12 no difference between auto or appliance. Its the
oil that will burn not the freon.
