An 'ex' is a has been and a 'spurt' is a drip under pressure so here goes ...

Check Ken Wilford's Van-Again website for information on why he no longer uses rebuilt heads. Boston Bob also has some information on his website about what he goes through with used heads. Basically the original heads are prone to cracking and corrosion.

Can't the original heads be reused to save money? What is gained by going with new heads? If new heads are THE answer, what brands are recommended and why? I would appreciate your expert responses.
