A little bit of scorch on the rotor is normal. Millions of miniature
lightning bolts get hot after awhile. I think that your previous burn out
of the rotor has a lot to do with the fact that it was not Bosch. The goofy
idle sounds like it is being caused by bad wiring to the temp 2 sensor, or
the connector just making lousy contact. If you don't yet have a Bentley
manual, I suggest that you get one. There is a test procedure in the manual
that allows you to use a digital voltmeter to read the signal coming from
the temp 2 at the plug on the ECU. With very little creativity you can also
test the continuity of the wires themselves to see if that is the problem.
Don't guess.. Test!
