Ken, you got the pulley thing backwards. A smaller pulley would turn slower and cause the waterpump & alternator to spin slower- BUT with more torque :-) How much smaller? You may want to check out their ratios and if your new pulley's ratio is much different than the old you may be in a dilly of a pickel.
