Forget about rebuilding these things. I used to do this, but they never lasted more than a few thousand miles. The bores are usually scored beyond repair, and if you hone them smooth they are out of spec, out of round, or something that will dramatically shorten their life. Resleeving is the only good repair, and that costs more than new.

The list vendors sell these for $50, don't bother trying to rebuild the one you have unless you are planning on selling the van next week. And that would not be nice thing to do

Start saving for the master too, they quite often fail around the same time.
