I don't know if the AFM voltage specs are published or even necessary to know. A changing resistance provides the ECU with the info it needs.

The Pro Training info is at http://www.loam.org/vw/. Basically the same info as in the bently but far more user friendly. A lot of thanks to Darrel Boehler for the web site.

My 86 used to go belly up after about 2 hours of a steady speed. A lot of dark smoke from the exhaust, no power, and strange noises from the engine. The local VW dealer (who has proven to be a very reluctant source for anything Vanagon related) actually had a left over pig-tail harness. After a long conversation the parts manager was convinced that I would probably be the only person to need this, he sold it to me for $35. It solved the problem but I think it would be nice to mount on the wall with the framed receipt.
