Subject:      Tranferring parts from a 1984 vanagon to a 1981 vanagon???

hi,
I would like to know if it is easy to transfer all the
parts(motor,transmission, cooling  system, ventilation system) from a 1984
vanagon (water-cooled) to a 1981 vanagon (air-cooled). Does the 1981 vanagon
has all the brackets to fit  the radiator, the holes to fit the heater on
the floor under the back seat. Do I have to install the heating and
ventilation system from the 1984 vanagon? Is it more simple to transfer the
entire dash?
