Just wasting money. More octane doesn't do any good if the engine can't take advantage of it.

By the way my brother in law has been in the oil cooking business for 40 years and says that the difference in production cost between regular and high test is 5 cents a gallon. Mid test is 40% high test 60 % regular. So you can see the extra profit they're making on the higher grades.
