Dear Brent,

I am using my gas tachometer with my 120amp TDI diesel alternator with "W"
terminal. This is the accessory that enables it:

This way, you can simply find a gas tach (much easier and cheaper) and then
wire it up with the DSL-1

Need a tach prefer specific to a Vanagon. I found useful info on this site
for the VDO aftermarket tach. Perhaps someone has converted one from a gas
model? Or maybe a Golf/Jetta diesel tach? I'm open to suggestions.
