I would definately get one that measures DC amps as well.  This will allow
you to adjust the mixture on the CIS-E fuel injection systems common to a
lot of the other VW and European cars.  Not the Vanagon though.  HTH

Vanagon repair for much less money.  The only features you need for car work
are the ability to measure resistance and voltage.
