Subject: dimensions of 2WD Westy
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

I'm jotting down ideas for my garage to be built in the spring and I am trying to work within the limits the city gives me and yet maximize space. A big help would be to know the following:

Length of a Vanagon (bumper to bumper) Width (overall and width at/of poptop would help) Height of a 2WD non-Carat Westy WITH TOP UP (I think the consensus was that they are about 6'10" tall when closed).

I just want to see if I can design this unit in such a way that I can have a garage in which I'll have room to put the top up (for airing out in the winter, etc.).

Also (while I'm at it) if anyone has any good advise or pictures, etc. on a small garage (20'x24' MAX) with a crawl space/attic where the overall height of the garage doesn't exceed 15 feet (peak height) I would like to hear/see about it.

Thanks, Keith Adams Calgary, AB, CA 86 Westfalia "Roxy" 87 Syncro project "Hugh"
