Subject: gravestone rubbing of Vanagon transaxle
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"; format=flowed

Hello Volks, will any one with an '86 or up Vanagon (non diesel ) w/ automatic or manual transaxle have your engine out? I need a rubbing of the mating surface of the trans to the engine. how to do this... * securely position a piece of brown heavy kraft paper to the transaxle (like a cut up heavy grocery sack)(prefered, although only for its cheapness, durability, and non strechyness) * rub the side of a dark colour crayon on paper to create a duplicate of the mating surface to a vanagon 2.1 litre. Thanks oh yeah... accuracy counts! All submitters will receive cad drawings of my work. David Luddy
