Before you yank your Temp II check the adjustment on your throttle position switches (an '84 probably has two -- one for idle and one for full throttle)the idle switch may be out of whack. Also check the function of the Idle Stabilizer Unit. Replacing the leaky exhaust and O2 Sensor will probably fix the warm stalling problem but check the condition of the plug wires if they've been around for a while -- bad ones can cause stalling under partial load. The injectors could still be okay but the seals may be shot.
The Temp II gets blamed for a lot of problems and usually is responsible for a bunch. Extra air getting in ahead of the O2 Sensor will cause your engine to run rich but since the O2 Sensor doesn't kick in until it gets warmed up it is not likely causing the cold idle problem -- that could be a problem with either the Temp II or the ISU maybe the Warm Air Valve (squeeze the fat braided hose going into the intake boot with a pair of plyers when the engine is idling cold, if the speed drops the Valve may be bad -- when the engine is warm it shouldn't change).
