I just put my second S&S exhaust on my '83 waterboxer last weekend. The first lasted approximately 5 years, 90,000 miles, daily driving in Indianapolis. The exhaust rusted and broke first in the pipe from the collector to the cat (the pipe that houses the O2 sensor). I fixed that last summer, but three weeks ago the collector rusted through and broke (it had small leak for some time). Installation was same as first time, some difficulty getting tubes matched up to heads, but bolt on with no major problems. I was obviously satisfied with system as I bought a second. I would note that if you do not need the muffler, Ken (vanagain) sells just the header for $160. Good luck. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com |
