Hiya Gearheads I had my cv boots replaced about 2 yrs ago ( also 2 joints ). now all my boots look good. no cracking etc but the boot under the starter is losing its lube from the outside or small side. I don't want to let any of these joints wear excessively. what are my options? could I use a needle and pump lube in thru the boot and then patch the needle hole with a bike tire patch? could I use a cable tie or 2 to stem the leakage? I don't think I want to change the boots myself. how much should I expect to pay if I have a shop change the boot(s) thanks for any advice ed 87 2wd gl |
