The photos I've seen of the S&S systems don't look a whole lot different form the stock systems. You would have to use a whole lot of pipe with a whole bunch of bends to get equal length headers on a wasserboxer. S&S, I think has a slightly larger diameter which may help breathing some. But, there just aren't a whole bunch of different ways to run the exhaust from this engine.

The stock systems aren't that bad except for the constipating muffler and some real ratty flange welds.
