Dear Andrew, The relay has nothing to do with the fan coming on. It provides a means for witch the electricity from the alternator to be used by the fan. You should check the radiator fan switch on the left side of the radiator (drivers side) pull the plug cross the connections on the plug to check your fan. If that works find change the radiator fan switch, If then fan don't work check for an open in the line. There is a resistor behind the drivers side headlight assembly, that usually goes bad after a while. I don't know how too send this to Darrel, so drop him a line if you can...Aloha,Sean

Thanks!

Andrew
