Volks, Take it from someone who's had one of these for years in our van, they are an excellent upgrade on the stock arrangement. The gear lever throw is considerably reduced between gears and makes gear changes feel like you're in a Golf or a good Beetle. My wife is prone to back trouble and the short shifter means she can change gears (and we have 5 of them :)) without twisting her back to reach forward so that's a great benefit for her, even more than the nice short movement between gear shifts. You knuckles will never turn off the stereo again!

Go for it guys while you have the chance... Note,I have no involvement in this group purchase or with Berg. I'm just a happy camper with a short shifter...er,as it were...;)
