Woeful tale here, be warned. I was going to replace what I thought was a bad exh gasket on my 1.9 when I realized it was leaking because a bolt hole was stripped. I installed a lovely little heli coil (8x1.25), and when I went to install the NEW (correct) stud, it was really tight going in (yes I removed the tang properly) and I can't figure out why because the coil went in effortlessly. The short version is I broke the stud off (just when it was almost there), then an easy out (can't they make them stronger?). So, I got's a problem. Seattle Bug aid claims they can fix it for me, I guess I take the head off and cart it down to them and let them have a go. So, two questions. 1- does anyone have an strong recommendations against this course of action, 2- can someone point me to the best online primer for rr of a left head. I've not managed a Bentley yet (yes I'm ashamed), but even though I mangled what should have been an easy job, I believe I can muddle though the head job with a few pointers. All that nice new coolant, "oh the horror", maybe I can re-use it.

ruefully, mark...
