If I >mount the lights below, am I limiting their usefulness? (Will I not get >the results that I'm looking for). Lights mounted too low will have problems with irregularities in the road...casting shadows. This is why headlights are set higher; they shine down into holes etc. Dangling lights may well become victims of curbs too. Best mount them above the bumper. Foglights are best low due to the (usually) clearer air at road-level.
