I have installed the VW factory auxiliary light brackets that David Marshall has for sale on both my 84 Westy and my sister's 81 Westy. They provide a very secure and hidden mount which uses preexisting holes in the bodywork under the bumper - no drilling holes in the bumper. I give these mounts my highest recommendation. Very trick. I have some photos I could pass along if anyone is interested. Tony Anthony L. >I have the factory brackets that are used to mount the fog / driving lights >above the bumper. These do not require drilling any holes in your bumper - >if you remove your front bumper you will notice two pairs of little drilled >holes in the shape of a triangle. The brackets that I have fasten on to >these holes and then you put your bumper back on with just a little tab >sticking up behind the bumper for you to mount your light on. Cost is $25 >USD per pair. |
