The PO had replaced the front turn signal and swaped the 3 wires so that the ground was in the wrong spot. The turn signal would not work on that side with the headlights on. You may want to go look at all the ground connections. It is possible that you swaped one(or PO) and it is causing this. Strange things happen when you diconnect or swap the grounds. Keep in mind, they are half of the complete electrical system on any car.
