Hello Volks,
Most of you know me on the list, some of you have helped me, and some I have
helped. That's a real big reason I love this list so very much.
Anyway, here's the point.
As many of you know I am a sales manager for a large RV Dealership here in
Florida. No, I am not selling RV's here today. We carry Safari's and Beaver
Motor homes, and just last month we had a big homecomming ralley here in
Orlando. Bear with me just another moment I am getting to the point. Anyway
about 800 Safari's and Beaver's descended upon my home town, and of course
we were there selling coach's, but also we attended all the functions, and
this thought occourd to me:
That in this big room with all these folks from different backgrounds and
places, If I had gotton up on that pdium and said: I want to:
build an airplane, or
start a business, or
market a product, or
start a farm, or,
or, or or or or or whatever
In that very room was enough talent to make it happen. And you know what
this list IS the exact same way. Look around at each other. Why we have
enough combined brainpower, experience, connections to do anything we would
put our combined efforts to.
Someone out here as a degree in mechanical engineering, or electrical
engineering, or is a lawyer, or a marketer. Someone could put together the
financing for a project, or a product.
This is a great little list we have here Volks.
This common bond, this Vanagon, that draws to it people from all walks of
life, and allows us the common thread to communicate, to enteract with one
another, was never envisioned by it's creator, but has in fact evolved.
And just one more thing. At our gatherings we all get along, We accept one
another, and respect one another, and help one another.
The above may not be an earth shattering thesis, but it's a pretty damn good
place to find ourselvs in, isn't it.
Damn, I love this car/camper/pick-up/people hauler/cabin in the woods
etc. etc. etc.
