For the heat exchanger I used "ALUMINUM &METAL" calk bought at Home Depot. It is for up to 400 degrees and fills well and stays rubbery even after years. You can fill up huge areas and it will stick great. No more cold air to enter there. Use it liberally. Made by GE 1-800-626-2000. It is a 100% silicone sealant.
