Subject: home engine repair: free leftovers and stuff for sale--cheap!
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed
Okay, so I had to by a buch of stuff to do this job..
First the free stuff.... Remembering, I in seattleland here, and not really
willing to ship items I'm giving away....(.and NO EBAY.)
I have an oil pump that I pulled just because I was going to have the engine
out and the pump was $20 ....The "old" one has less than 70k on it, and it
looks fine. I don't want to throw it out.
I have leftover gaskets for digifant from the complete gasket set... I think
a couple are exhaust gaskets, and theres a felt one...few others, come get
'em. I have the head sealant (2/3's) and over half of the head nut sealant
($11 yellow stuff that doesn't come with the gasket kit for some scam of a
reason!). Come and take it.
Now, I'll give away my old heads gladly. But, since I don't know the demand
for such things If I get a ton of offers, the first person to offer $15
takes 'em.... I'll throw them out by the end of the month. For Those folks
who want to pay for shipping, I'll ship them to ya. FYI, they only have 70k
on them, one side was barely leaking. I can't really speak in terms of
cracks, pitting, since I have no knowledge of such, but to me, they look
fine.. THe compression looked bad though, so definitely, you'll have to
run the valves.
I have a GARAGE IN A BOX SET, that I was relucanct to buy since it was Made
In China (I don't buy China usually). It comes with two jack stands, a
floor jack (on wheels) and a floor creeper (very much needed!! for getting
under the van) plus I'll throw in the wood, and webbing I needed to remove
and reinstall a vanagon drivetrain in a day! I paid $55.....I'll sell it all
for $25 bucks. This is stuff That I would like to keep, but I just don't
have room in my life for it. The set is practically brand new, with
original box. It was a very good set-up, even though it was made in China.
I also am almost giving away a cheapie piston ring compressor, and a oil
pump puller ($13 worth) for $4 bucks. Must haves, but I got my money's
worth and definitely don't need them now.
I also have a couple other odds and ends such as a halogen flood light and
the threaded rod set-up for pulling wrist pins....
Drop me an email.
