Subject: Fwd: Questions about Gas Heater from 82 Diesel
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

The only difference in the Diesel DA-6 and the gas BA-6, is that the Diesel has a pre-glow period and the gas does not, because Diesel has a higher flash point than gasoline. The control system is different, but the burn chamber, heat exchanger glow/spark plug, combustion blower, flame switch, air recalculation blower, fuel pump-they are identical to the BA-6. SO, as I have already proven on Diesel heaters that have been running on gasoline for years, that it is perfectly safe to run them on gas.

The safety features are the same-overheatwitch and flame switch-both will shut down the heater if A: the air recalculation blower fails, causing the heater to overheat, and B: the glow/spark plug/coil/points fail, the flame switch signal to the ECU will cause the ECU to shut the blowers down.
