Hi All, Just a reminder. Campout March 16-18 in Southern Illinois at Giant City State park near Carbondale. All are invited. Located 350 miles southwest of Chicago, 100 miles southeast of Saint Louis, 200 miles north of Memphis. There are hookups, cabins or tent camping. Heated showers and restrooms. Giant City state park is one of Illinois finest, and very scenic. Located on giant city road south east of Carbondale or just east of Makanda. From the west, north or east on rt 13 in Carbondale, last main intersection east side of Carbondale (just east of the mall) turn south on Giant city road. Stay on Giant city road past the stables turn south to the campgrounds. I am guessing about 5 miles from rt 13. From the south turn off rt 51 eastward toward Makanda and Giant city park when you see the signs, you will be about 10 miles north of Anna. Go through Makanda and then into and through the park, just north of the cabins and lodge look for and turn east on Giant City road toward campground/ stables. After 0.5 miles turn south to the campground. Any questions contact me. midwesty@midwest.net
