I have a 1990 Carat, and when I bought almost 4 yrs ago, I installed a set of Hella driving lights under the bumper. They lasted about a week, because they were destroyed on the first ditch on the street. I now have them on top of the bumper, out of harm's way, and they look better than how they work, but not under the bumper, they won't survive. Good luck.
