I mis-quoted myself. Being in Virginia this time of year, your radiator fan should not come on under ordinary circumstances. The outside air temperatures aren't hot enough. It might be a possibility if you are stuck in traffic, virtually at a stand-still and some big truck is blocking all air movement. My own fan never activates unless the OAT is in the 80's.
