Here's my advice : take the from upper arms off yourself IF you do suspension and under-car work, get the 4 new bushings yourself, but pay someone with a press to press them in and out, and to spot-weld them after. The pressing is not super tricky, but I doubt the hammer method. also, paint the spot welds, PLEASE , and then get a front alignment. and of course, you need to know that the other front suspension parts, like ball joints etc. are OK in order to get a front alignment. LISTEN ! I have seen a car come straight from getting a front alignment when there was major play in a tie rod ! - which makes it totally impossible to perform an alignment, yet they charged the ( woman in this case ) customer and never mentioned the shot tie rod. Poor workmanship unfortunately is more common in the car repair world than it shoud be ! Do it right and you'll be glad, scott |
