A couple of days ago posted a request looking for information on rear coil springs. Current response indicates. 1. Check your clearance so you can get it out of the garage. (sounds like someone talking from experience:-) 2. Boge springs will lower about 30 mm. 3. Boge springs ride great, bases on 100 miles of driving & they are not the best if you have 15" wheels Based on this limited response I "must" make the assumption that: 1. Very few vanagon springs have ever been replaced because they never wear out. 2. If they ever need replacing, list members use only VW OEM. 3 Or most list members have synchros, thus the springs are different and they cannot comment on lowly 2wds. All kidding aside, I would appreciate your experiences and advice both good and bad on not only these options but any others you might have. There was some mention in the archives about a group purchase. Were these "normal" height? What has been the experience, to soft, to hard or justtttt right? Sorry about the fanaticism but springs are such a Major commitment, don't want to goof up and be stuck with a poor decision. |
