If I remember correctly, the main door on the rear cabinet from a GL camper
faces the front of the van. If you have a full width rear seat, it would
cover the door and you would have to put down the seat to open the cabinet.
The rear cabinet in a base camper has a large side door that you can access
either through the rear hatch or over the back seat and would probably work
better in a van with a full-width rear seat. You can see it visually here:

Either cabinet should fit in your van.

I would like to increase storage in my syncro. If I find a rear storage
cabinet from a Westy, can it be installed into a non-Westy syncro? I have
an '87 Syncro if it matters.
