I would suggest the wire be threaded through with the stock wiper/heater wiring via the rubber boot, as mine is. Saves drilling etc and is totally hidden.

All vehicles in NZ are required to have a high-level centerline brakelight. In older vehicles these are stuck onto the rear window, unless you can find a rear wing with light built-in.
