This only works with Bosch alternators. The Motorola and other types that are found have small variances in the pulley shafts that make swapping into the Vanagon almost impossible. But yes, the 90A and 120A A-Series alternators by Bosch are interchangeable!

Replace your 65 amp alternator with a 90 amp Golf alternator. The only thing different is the pulley's. Swap pulley's---bolt in---BANG---Large voltation !! Bada Boom, Bada Bing !!
