I would recommend using a tourqe wrench on the oil drain plug. The quick reference on the back cover of the Bentley calls for 18 foot pounds of tourqe which is less than what most guys with a 3/8 drive ratchet and socket would call "good enough" using "seat of the pants" measurement.
