ok, somewhere back in the dimmed recesses of Time, someone on the original vanagon list started this mess. his name was William Kennedy, and it's all his fault! :) he said ...

I've been noticing car ads that are like rolling haiku ... a whole short story in one car. for instance ...

Spotless black 85 Cadillac Fleetwood. Red mudflaps on all four wheels. Navaho blanket covering the front seat.

so naturally, some of us had to respond!!! :) and so it started. first Haiku (5, 7, and 5 syllables), then Tanka (5, 7, 5, 7, and 7 syllables).

71 Volkswagen bus, some rust but good shape. used to carry chickens. smells bad.

Wheels of Time roll on, Buses pass to History and still we love them.

If you don't succeed at first attempt, then go get a Bigger Hammer.

Junkyard yields a view rusting hulks of yesterday; organ donors now.

Everything on wheels, including the kitchen sink. Volkswagen Camper.

:)
