If you move the timing 11 degrees advanced, then you have also moved the total advance 11 degrees. I have NEVER EVER heard that this is a safe thing to do.

You will risk detonation (the fuel ignites while the piston is too early on the compression stroke and you are hammering the piston back the wrong way). You can put a hole in your piston, fracture a rod, beat your bearings........

The timing may have a few degrees 'fudge factor', but not 11 degrees.

I'm running 3 degrees AFTER TDC, lots of power and 17-18 MPG.

The digijet '5 degrees ATDC' advances as soon as you step on the accelerator, so if everything is working right it shouldn't be a problem.
