I recently spent some time deciding whether pulling the dash out was worthwhile to accomplish some other things. It appeared to me that the top portion of the dash does separate, but that getting to all the bolt locations might be impossible without--you guessed it--removing the entire dash. I decided to leave the whole thing alone.

By the way, one of the issues I found with removing the dash was that it required drilling out two shear bolts. Have you ever removed a dash before? Is there any way around this? If it is necessary, what are my options for reassemby? It looks like a pretty big mess.
